Medical report translation

A medical report is requested for visa, residence permit, work permit, athlete license and school enrollment applications. The type of report and issuing institution directly determine whether it will be accepted.

Health data are sensitive personal data under Article 6 of Law No. 6698. Reports sent to us are processed solely for translation purposes; you can request deletion of digital copies after the process is completed.

Which institutions request this document?

  • Immigration authorities — for residence and work permit applications
  • Consulates — in visa files
  • Schools and sports federations
  • Employers — for pre-employment medical examinations

Certification requirements

Is notarisation required?

Notarized translations are required for official applications.

Is an apostille required?

Reports certified by a public hospital or health directorate are considered administrative documents; the apostille is obtained from a provincial or district governor's office. Reports from private healthcare providers require certification by the Provincial Health Directorate or an authorized chief physician's office before an apostille.

There is no universal rule. The institution requesting the document determines its certification requirements. The information above describes common practice. Tell us which institution you are applying to and we will help clarify the required certification.

Preparing your document

  • Send all pages of the report, including the stamp and signature areas
  • Ask the institution which type of report is required — such as a medical board report or a single-physician report
  • Make sure the report date falls within the application's required period

Frequently asked questions
