English translation covers Turkish documents translated into English and English documents translated into Turkish. For education, employment, commercial and personal application files, the complete source document and the receiving institution's requirements need to be assessed together.

A requirement for English does not mean that the same certification is sufficient in every country. Share any requirements concerning sworn translation, notarisation, a particular translator's declaration or copy format before work begins. The service scope is agreed accordingly.

Type of certification

The translation is certified with the sworn translator's stamp and signature. If the receiving institution requires notarisation, the translation is certified by the relevant notary office. Documents for use abroad may also require an apostille. Submitting or managing apostille and consular legalisation applications is outside the scope of our service; we provide information about preparing the translation.

Spelling of names: For documents to be submitted abroad, given names and surnames are written according to the Latin-script spelling in your passport. Sharing your passport's identity page is important to avoid later corrections.

Translation process

  1. Sharing the institution's requirements

Send the document checklist from the institution requiring English, the source document and your application deadline together. Specify whether the file concerns education, employment, a visa or commerce.

  2. Establishing the translation scope

The document, attachments and any existing apostille endorsement are reviewed together. Name spelling, translation format, fees and the delivery plan are agreed before work begins.

  3. Review and delivery

Names, dates, numbers and tables are compared with the source. The required sworn or notarised format is assessed separately; apostille and consular legalisation applications are not managed.

English translation: points we check

  • British and American English may differ in spelling and terminology. Tell us at the outset if the institution supplies a sample text or preferred usage; consistency throughout the same file matters.
  • Diploma titles and professional designations are not altered to imply automatic equivalency in another country. The translation represents the qualification in the source document; acceptance and assessment belong to the relevant institution.
  • Date, number and currency formatting is checked in the context of the document. A change in number format must not imply a change in an amount or grade value.

What determines the delivery time?

  • The amount of text, document type and need to compare multiple files with each other.
  • Receiving a scanned or faded document instead of an editable file, and reconstructing table layouts.
  • Notarisation and physical delivery requests; a definite delivery date is confirmed after reviewing the file.

How is the price determined?

  • Source–target translation direction, amount of text and subject-specific terminology.
  • The translation scope of tables, attachments, stamps and page layout.
  • Notary fees and courier costs are assessed separately from the translation fee.

Quality and review

  • Given names and surnames are checked against the passport or spelling reference you provide.
  • Course names, grades, credits and graduation details in education documents are checked together; grades are not converted.
  • Company names, amounts, contractual clauses and terminology in commercial documents are used consistently throughout the file.

What to prepare for a quotation

  • Send the complete document, including its reverse side and attachments.
  • Identify the destination country and receiving institution, and include any translation requirements from the institution.
  • Share a name spelling reference and any English glossary or previously certified translation.
  • Tell us your application date, required number of copies and delivery format.

Frequently asked questions

Are English translations accepted in all countries?

The receiving institution determines language and certification requirements. Some institutions may not accept English or may require particular translator qualifications or certification. Share the institution's current written requirements.

Is a Turkish diploma title converted into an English degree?

The translation represents the education and qualification details in the source document. The translation bureau does not determine the equivalent degree in another education system; that assessment belongs to the relevant institution.

Should I use American or British English?

Share any spelling preference or sample text supplied by the receiving institution. The aim is consistent usage throughout the document; the country name alone may not determine every terminology choice in every file.

Is notarisation included in the English translation fee?

Translation fees and notary fees are separate items. The institution's required certification, file scope and any courier request are assessed at the outset.
