Our Russian translation service covers Turkish documents translated into Russian and Russian documents translated into Turkish. For civil status, education, commercial and property files, we establish the country and receiving institution at the outset before defining the scope.
The language of a Russian document alone does not establish its country of origin or receiving institution. State the country of issue, receiving institution and any certification requirements in your translation request. The same legalisation chain is not assumed to apply to every procedure involving documents in the same language.

Type of certification
The translation is certified with the sworn translator's stamp and signature. If the receiving institution requires notarisation, the translation is certified by the relevant notary office. Documents for use abroad may also require an apostille. Submitting or managing apostille and consular legalisation applications is outside the scope of our service; we provide information about preparing the translation.
Spelling of names: For documents to be submitted abroad, given names and surnames are written according to the Latin-script spelling in your passport. Sharing your passport's identity page is important to avoid later corrections.
Translation process
- Establishing the source file and intended use
Specify the country of issue, target language and receiving institution. Required attachments and certification requirements are reviewed together with the complete file.
- Assessing consistency of names
Cyrillic and Latin spellings, passport references and other documents in the file are compared. You can share a previous translation as a reference for institutional or professional names.
- Translation and delivery review
Dates, numbers, tables, seals and identity fields are checked against the source. Notarisation or physical delivery is arranged separately if requested; we do not provide apostille application tracking services.
Russian translation: points we check
- The Latin-letter equivalents of Cyrillic personal names are checked against the passport or identity reference you provide. Documents using different spellings for the same person should be reviewed together at the outset.
- The source document may contain a patronymic or different forms of a name. Identity fields are not omitted merely because a Turkish form has no equivalent field; they are represented with their relationship within the file preserved.
- Education institutions, professions and diploma titles are not altered to create a new qualification in another country. Assessment of courses, grades and credit values belongs to the relevant institution.
What determines the delivery time?
- Handwriting, faint seals or illegible characters in the source document.
- Clarifying different spellings of names in the file and checking consistency across multiple documents.
- Text volume, subject specialism, the notarisation stage and delivery method.
How is the price determined?
- The amount of text and the subject of the document being translated from Russian into Turkish or from Turkish into Russian.
- Attachments, endorsements, table layout and formatting requirements in the file.
- Notary and courier costs are assessed separately from the translation fee.
Quality and review
- The given name, surname and, where applicable, patronymic are checked against the source and reference documents.
- Document, registration and certificate numbers, dates and numerical fields are reproduced with their source values preserved.
- Educational or professional terms are used consistently throughout the file; translation and qualification recognition assessments are treated as separate processes.
What to prepare for a quotation
- Send legible copies of every page of the source document and any existing authentication attachments.
- State the country that issued the document and the receiving institution.
- Provide the Latin-script spelling of your name in your passport and any other documents with different spellings.
- Tell us the institution's translation requirements, your application date and your preferred delivery method.

Frequently asked questions
What happens if a name in a Russian document has a different spelling in Turkish?
The passport or identity reference and the other documents in the file are assessed together. No speculative correction is made before the reason for the different spelling is understood; any necessary clarification is requested at the outset.
Does a Russian diploma translation provide qualification recognition in Türkiye?
Translation is part of preparing the documents for an application. The institution assessing qualification recognition or professional authorisation applies its own requirements and review; a translation alone is not a recognition decision.
Does the country that issued a Russian document matter?
Yes. The issuing country, receiving institution and type of procedure help establish the document and authentication requirements. Knowing the language alone is not sufficient to determine a definitive authentication requirement.
Can an existing apostille endorsement be included in the translation?
If your institution requires the document and its existing endorsement to be translated together, send them with the complete file. We do not undertake apostille applications or track the procedure.
