ISO management system certificates, CE declarations of conformity, test reports and product certificates are standard documents for exports, tender files and supplier audits. Foreign buyers and administrations require these documents in their own language or in English.
The issuing organization, scope statement, standard numbers and validity details are reproduced exactly in the translation. The scope statement ("for these activities at this address") defines the certificate's limits; a translation that broadens or narrows the scope misrepresents the document. Standard codes (such as ISO 9001:2015) are universal and are preserved unchanged.

Certification requirements
A sworn translation is usually sufficient for commercial files; notarization may be required for tenders and official applications.
It does not apply to certificates from private certification bodies; buyers usually verify them through the body's own system.

Preparing your document
